Grandparents
Since the beginning of time, people have looked to others to either emulate, or at least admire. Awhile back I went to a musical play and wondered what there was about the characters that inspired my appreciation. I realized that some of the people who have shaped my interests, personality, and actions were my grandparents.
My maternal grandmother, Viola, was a hardy soul who practiced living off the land, was a great cook, and loved fishing at the Red River, while my maternal grandfather, R.P., was a rancher who loved to hunt, whittle on a stick, and joke with his family.
My paternal grandmother, Mollie, was kind and gentle and loved roses. My paternal grandfather, G.C., liked to fish, listen to baseball on the radio, and go fishing.
